1851 Census Lookup
« on: Thursday 23 August 07 16:09 BST (UK) »
I Know that James Love aged 25 in Stepney, born Scotland is on the 1851 census but I would like to know all the details that appear on that entry. I would be very grateful if anyone has access to that information and would look it up for me. Thanks Kerrie

Hi Ricky,
Thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately it isn't the one I wanted but at lease I can eliminate that one.
Kind regards
Kerrie

That doesn't sound like the one but thanks for looking anyway, this man is proving tricky to find.  He as born in 1825 in Glasgow, I have him in Stepney in 1853 but can't find him before that so don't know whether in Scotland or he or his family moved down between his birth and 1853, I also know is he father was also called James and he worked as a clerk in a shipbuilding company on the Isle of Dogs.  I've looked at Scottish censuses but nobody matches up so thought they may be on the English censuses.
Thanks for your help.
Kerrie

No Sorry, on James junior's marriage cert.  in 1853 he is described as a Gentleman which would suggest to me someone perhaps over 60 or he just has lots of money and dosen't need to work.  So maybe some time between 1780 and 1800, but I'm just guessing.

Hi Kerrie

i know this is a lot of questions but did his parents move down with him or did he come down on his own, plus is he the one that is married to Sarah on the 1861 census
