1851 census lookup for Brighton
« on: Thursday 16 December 04 16:51 GMT (UK) »
Hello all

Is anyone able to help me with a census lookup for Brighton in 1851?

The family are:-
William Tanner  age 42 blacksmith born Rotherfield, Sussex
Mary Tanner age 42 born Eastbourne, Sussex
Eliza Tanner age 18 milliner  born Brighton
John Stephen Tanner age 16  tailor  born Brighton
Jane Mariah Tanner age 14  born brighton
Sarah Ruth Tanner  age 10 born Brighton

These names and dates are taken from the 1861 census for 41 Over Street Brighton.
I have  looked for this address in the 1851 census when I was at the FRC in London but could not find No 41.
I know that the family were at this address in September 1852.
There may also be other children older than Eliza.

Thanks   -   Peter
