Dorking Surrey -Elizabeth Jane Walter

Hello

I am wondering if someone may be able to look up a birth or any other information regarding Elizabeth Jane Walter.  She was born c. 1854 in Dorking Surrey.  I have also discovered from  a census that her mother was also Elizabeth and was born in La Rochelle in France.

This family are later to be found in the Lambeth area of London.

How sure are you she was born in Dorking? rather than Lambeth ?

I know she was born in Dorking from the 1891/1901 census.

She married a Charles Gaulder in March 1890 in the Camberwell area.  She is listed as Elizabeth Jane F.K. Walter.

brilliant - so that clarifys which is her birth.

Getting her birth cert will give you her parents - although you have her mother from later censuses by the look of it, and may of course have her father from her marriage cert. Will also give mothers maiden name, which will help find parents marriage
