You are not butting in!! Come and join the fun!

(You dont happen to live in Plymouth do you, with a fortnight to spare to go through every parish register in the district for Newtons, Mumfords, Saunders and Bennetts? Or even just an afternoon to go through Plymstock in the Plympton area just for Mumford's? and maybe Saunders?)

Bye valley

I think it is beginning to make sense, but to really sort it you will need to buy a lot of certs, or else spend a lot of time going through parish records (assuming she had the children christened!!!)

Hi

Look at these two births:

Emma BLACKLER MUMFORD
Sept 1863, Totnes
vol 5b pg 168

Mary's maiden name was Blackler , and one of her surnames was MUMFORD lol  ::) ::)
will investigate

then there is this one :
James Nicholas T MUMFORD
Mar 1886
Plymouth
vol 5b pg 287

That is anm interesting one as the SAUNDERS/SANDERS birth that I found had "Nicholas T" as their middle names !!!!!

Has everyone left me ?  :-\  LOL

deb

PS I am looking at the WELSH census ..There are a couple of NEWTON's born Honiton there ....
Travellers = Penfold, Orchard, James
Devon = Middleton,  Waterfield, Adams, Clark/e, Gould
Cornwall = Palmer, Carnarton, Slack/Smith. Morris/h
Wales, New Quay = James, Evans

VAL

Do you have Mary's marriage cert....certS LOl

if you do what is her dad's name , were  any of her siblings witnesses....the reason I am asking is that there is a whole lot of wills and documents on National Archives , concerning BLACKLER people!!!!!

Re: the previous birth reg of Emma Blackler MUMFORD ...
her parents marriage:
Emma BLACKLER to Henry MUMFORD
dec 1859
Plymton St mary Devon
vol 5b pg 416

In 1861 they were living in Totnes..no kids
In 1871:
Oxfordshire
William LEWIS
Emma j LEWIS  31 b Cornwood, devon
Sarah MUMFORD 9 b Totnes
EMMA MUMFORD 7 b Totnes
William LEWIS

I wonder if these Blackler Mumfords are related to MARY?

deb

can't wait for the certs to get to you !!! ;D
