COMPLETED- Kernan - where is it?
« on: Saturday 18 August 07 15:11 BST (UK) »
 :-\
I have discovered my gt grandfather's birth was not Waringstown as I originally thought - that was my gt grandmother, but a place called Kernan.  I have no information about this place and when I try and find any I just get info about some baseball coach or something...
Can anyone tell me anything about the history of Kernan?
Thank a million!

 :)
Thanks Christopher and Ballyaltgilligan..
I will follow the line you found.  I think Kernan I am looking for is in Down.  Unfortunately, having done a great deal of research on family history in the Waringstown and Donaghcloney area, I now have to start afresh on a new area. Without this information on Kernan I wouldn't have known where to start.

Thanks again  Alliheat
