wormleightons in enderby

I wonder if some kind person could shed some light on this problem I have. I am trying to find the baptism of my gr.gr.gr grandfather Isaac Wormleighton, he was born in 1825 or thereabouts in Enderby. His father was stated on his marriage certificate as being William and being deceased in 1844. Now the only Williams in Enderby area I can find are either slightly too old or slightly too young. Looking in the IGI didn't help much either. If someone could shed a little light I would be extremely grateful.

Eliza Wormleighton 06 AUG 1843   Enderby

No mention of Isaac though  - where have you got the details of age - Is it from the census ?  If so, post as many details as possible as to where you found him and who was with,

Thanks to everyone who is helping me,
Yes as Mike correctly assumed I based Isaac's birthplace on the 1851 census, but took it very loosely. His year of birth is approx 1825 as it matches the age on his marriage certificate in 1844 and his death certificate in 1852.

I am curious to the suggestions made by Mike regarding the independant church in Narborough on the post I put on lookups section. This is a possible avenue of exploration as I cannot find any of Isaac's childrens baptism either. Also Isaac and Hannah didn't have a religious marriage ceremony, so this could be a possible reason.

Could anyone possibl suggest whether there was a methodist / baptist chapel in the vicinity of Fleet street.

Greeting’s Again Whizzy…..

The closest Methodist Chapel to Fleet Street
 I can think of is that of George Street./ Bedford Street.
Aprox. six streets apart from Fleet Street.
Which I understand had strong connections with Enderby.

Hi Mike
Wow it looks like I need a good look at the methodist records at Wigston. If the chapel had good connections with Enderby it could explain why Isaac came to Leicester (ie under guardian guidence)as he would only have been in his teens when he came.
I will let you know if I find anything out.
