According to Google maps both Ravel Row and Thistle Street still exist as streets (Ravel Row is off of Westmuir Street and leads up towards the Forge market Building... although looking at the satellite images shows nothing but 1950's or later style housing blocks)) .... Thistle Street may still exist as a road but I'm with you regarding the redevelopment I don't think there are any houses left in that section

Thank you everyone ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ravel Row is where my grandfather and his sister lived and maybe other members of the family. I'm not really sure how many of the Bradley clan had moved from Ireland to Glasgow ???

My mother was born at 412 Westmuir Street. Her family moved to the US in 1923 but returned to Scotland around 1928-29. The family then moved into 448 Westmuir. My grandmother lived there until she died in 1970. My uncle continued to live there until his death and my aunt the last remaining member of my mum's family eventually moved to Hull.

Once again thank you for your help.

Mary Ann

The upper floors are now a lapdancing club called Diamond Dolls!

Thank you ;D I often wondered why anyone would live in essentially what was a commercial area. John Lynch was listed as a salesman on his marriage registration (of what I don't know) and he may have lived here as it related to his occupation ???

Thank you for taking the time.
