I have William Davidson, born at Hatton of Ardoyne, Oyne and baptised on 27 February 1820, son of John Davidson and Christian Wright.

William married Elizabeth Morrison in Culsalmond in 1845, and they had nine children, most born at (Little) Ledikin in Culsalmond, between 1846 and 1860. I have little information about what became of all the children.

William died on 16 November 1892 and Elizabeth on 3 December 1911, both at Newlands, Rayne.

John Davidson, William's father, was born in 1781 at Tofthill of Auchline, Clatt, parents Alexander Davidson and Margaret Wright.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hi Forfarian

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

At the moment I can't see a connection between MY Davidson's and your family but they do seem to be living in the same area, so they may be connetion at some point.

I will keep your details on file and if I come across anything I will let you know.

Regards

Paul
