« on: Sunday 12 August 07 15:24 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace  the above members of my family.

My mother Gladys Spalding born 1910 and lived at 2 back 272 Summer Lane

Her mother was Margaret Mary Jackson before her marriage to Walter Ernest Spalding in 1903

Hi Margaret,

I'm not sure what you are searching for. Do you want to trace them back? There's a Walter Ernest Spalding born 1878 in Aston who could fit the bill.

Here he is in 1881:

Hi Tatti

Many thanks for your reply I have joined Ancestry in July and Rootschat 3 weeks ago so I am still learning

I have traced the Spalding/Jackson back

But the information that would be of great interest to me would
be in the 1911 census (not available) as I believe my mother and her brother Walter were the only survivors of many children

As I live in CO Durham and in my 70s I may have popped my clogs
by then

And getting to Birmingham may be a little awkward to view any records

Margaret

Hi Maggiemayshepherd,  I did hear you can access 1911 census if you are family of the people you are researching. You will have to contact National archives about this.   If i'm wrong i'm sure someone will put me right. Happy Hunting.
