Hi Julie, The National Archive of Ireland may have them. If they haven't they should be able to point you in the right direction. I've sent a message to a member in the Dublin area to see if they know where the Rolls are kept. Chris.
So far as I am aware there is no centralised record for the electoral rolls but rather each Local Authority would be responsible for keeping the roll for their area.Good luck in your searchRonnieG
Does that mean if one's ancestors moved around the country to any extent you'll be chasing all over the place. Christopher
Hi Julie (and Christopher)So far as I am aware there is no centralised record for the electoral rolls but rather each Local Authority would be responsible for keeping the roll for their area.I myself, have looked at the electoral register for Dublin in The Dublin City Archives in Pearse Street where they have an excellent computerised search facility.Louth County Council has a Genealogy service and they mention electoral rolls but for a much earlier period. I think it very likely that they would have registers of a more recent vintage too but in what format and how easily searched I couldn't say.It would be well worth asking the question and they can be contacted at referencelibrary[at]louthcoco.ieAt the risk of sounding rude could I ask you how sure you are of the name Dello?Do you have any "official documents" showing this name? Is it possible that it was an alias or a.k.a.?Good luck in your searchRonnieG
Julie,I've been thinking. Your late husband's name should be on school registers somewhere and there should be medical records too. Christopher

Christopher I'm afraid so Christopher.RonnieG I have been in touch with the reference library, but its not looking good at present, I have had 2 emails saying (havnt been able to locate electoral rolls yet!!!) But you and Christopher have given me food for thought anyway for which I thank you, also Aghadowey, I have sent for Lynns Army records this week hopefully it might have the Ireland address on them, so might have some more to go on. I at least will know what churches are nearby. Best Wishes Julie.
