1851 census index Williams
« on: Wednesday 15 December 04 12:42 GMT (UK) »
Would somebody with the index mind having a look to see if there is an Isaac Williams age about 25 listed? I have "lost" him from Notts and suspect he may be in the Shardlow district.

Thanks, Heather

That's great sunflower - thanks for your time!

Isaac wasn't with his parents in Cropwell Bishop and didn't marry until 1854, so I think it's probably him :)

Follow up on that one. It was indeed my Isaac Williams, living in Pinxton. Feeling silly now as the other day I looked at Pinxton page by page for someone else's relative and didn't spot my own gg grandfather :)

Hello Heather,

Isaac (assuming he's the same fellow) is my great-great-grandfather also - his
son Thomas was my great-grandfather, and grandson Albert was my maternal
grandfather.  I would dearly like to find out more about Isaac as I don't have
any information on his parents or ancestors.  Would love to swap notes with you if possible.  Kind regards,

Howard
