1851/61 Butters
« on: Monday 06 August 07 12:38 BST (UK) »
G'day.

I have identified the marriage of Neal Butters & Frances Guy in St Marylebone in Sept 1861.
Neal's dad is shown as also Neal.
But that is as far back as I can get to with those Butters.
Anyone have any ideas?

Is his age shown - or is it 'of full age' ?

and Occupation of both Neal's ?

Pretty unusual spelling of Neal at that time - maybe Neil ?

Elder Neal was a sailor, younger a printer.

Yes, he was simply "of full age".

Still haven't progressed with those particular Butters, though there are plenty of Butters in & around Westminster at the time.
I just cannot find any records with a Neal (or Neil) Butters.

However, I have found Frances' parents:
William Guy & Frances née Mound

Hi There,

I have been searching this family and have the marriage cert for William Guy & Frances Mound ,  & for Frances Jan Guy &  Neil  Butters , William 's father was John and mother Catherine Chapman so  she must   have been Isaac sister. We have a tree with the butters back to neils father and with some help a fair bit on the mounds.
