Cemetery near Nicholashayne?
« on: Monday 06 August 07 00:14 BST (UK) »
Hi! I hope someone is able to help.

One of my ancestors died in Nicholashayne Culmstock in 1846. I'm wondering where then he might be buried? Googling Culmstock cemeteries does not help me as I'm not sure which are the closest to Nicholashayne.

Can anyone advise?

Thank you.

Nicholshayne is a hamlet within Culmstock
So there may not have been a church at Nicholshayne
Have you checked out the genuki website - may give some clues

Devon is such a big county, I am from Devon myself - Torquay - but I know nothing about Culmstock - or Tiverton.

The Baptists had a church at Prescott.  That is also not far away.  When I researched their records, they had records of people from all around the region.
