Hi Carolanne
I don't think they were in Illingworth.
I am trying to find where William Hoyle's birth is.
I don't think I put enough info in my first message.

I know William Hoyle c. 1743 was married in St. Peters, Sheffield in 1767 to Barbara Redfern.

I have hit a brick wall in trying to find Willaim HOYLE's birth.

I put my query up to try and find his birth.

I thought someone may be able to look at the cathedral parish records to find him.  I have already looked at the IGI.
I also know he was an Attorney in Sheffield. and he died in Aughton, Aston, Nr. Rotherham.

I am new to this messaging so must learn a lot.

His father Nathan was a Schoolmaster in Guiseley.
Cheers thanks
Gap.

Hi sisterjane,

thanks for the info which I already had. (from the IGI)

I was trying to find William Hoyle's birth, which I think may now be more likely to be in Guiseley where his father and mother was.

Thanks again

GAP, when you refer to having rec'd some info from a contact in Canada, was that me you got it from?

The William Hoyle who married Barbara Redfearn was baptized on Aug. 22, 1742. I am not sure where but could find it.

Their son William Hoyle was born on July 11, 1773 in Yorkshire. He married a woman named Mary but I do not have her maiden name recorded.

This line is related to the Walker family of Bessacar, and I think you have also posted messages about Richard Walker and his wife Mary Freeman?
