John Lawrie head m 25 Carter Jedburgh Scotland
Ann     "       wife   m 24            Warkworth, Northumberland
Thomas "   brother m 28 Miller   Jedburgh Scotland

Sue's found brother Thomas (possibly) in Scotland in 1841:

 Brachend, Crailing Roxburghshire
Thomas Lawrie  18 Miller b.Roxburghshire, Scotland
others on page:                 
    William Murray 14  Isabella Reston 23  George Robson 47
     Isabella Turnbull 10  John Turnbull 13

So if this is John's brother, again on his own in 1841, it's going to be hard to find the parents in 1841 without children to confirm things.

Hi Pinetree  and Jap,

I would like to thank you for all your help , and advice on tracing my Gr Grandad john .

I have spend the last few weeks going through census 1861/71 in england , and also scotland looking for any link to john . I have today sent for a birth cert for John Lowrey b1851 south shields , vol 24 page 231 , i will update you on this when i get the said cert .

Once again i cant thank you all enough for your help , you are life savers .
