The face of my Gt. Gt. Grandmother is very faded or white.

Could someone improve the photo for me please?

Hi,
Could you rescan at 300dpi and make it larger. At the moment its so tiny that definition will be lost altogether if we start trying to restore. We are allowed up to 500kb filesize on this board and this pic is only 16kb at the moment, so don't be shy 

What size is the original?

 a practice try - you will get a better result with a better scan (but if you haven't got the original...)

Thank you, she does look a bit better. Sadly the original is with another relative- so I have to make do with a scan.

I thought I would have a go at adding some colour to your photo to see if could help and give some definition.    I find it really difficult choosing suitable colours to go with the subject and it's era, so if you think there are any more suitable colours you would prefer I can easily change them!

I have also resized you photo to make it a little easier to see, if you want it the original size, I can easy change that to!

I have seen your other photo, and I will be having a go at that soon! Love your photos! Love the challenge!

Thank you for the efforts- rather interesting as I have always thought of these people only as black and white or sepia forebears.

It's quite intriguing to see them in colour and changes my thinking of them. Methinks I'm a bit odd!
