I gave away Ducks c60 years' ago, after my father tapped an unhatched egg from under the Mother Duck and it exploded into my face.

You have got to experience the H2S  to believe the pong!

Took a week to wear off.  Even the village mongrel dog would not come near me.

For the record -

"The platypus has perplexed scientists since its discovery by Europeans in the late 18th century. Here is a creature that has a furry body like most mammals, webbed feet and a bill like a duck, and a reproductive system that involves young being hatched from eggs before suckling from their mothers."

So endeth to-days lesson..........

Blimey EDO

I hope that the duck-exploding egg thingy did not happen on census night ...if it did you may be transcribed as ...

" Young EDO, son, unm, 10, stinky scholar living in dog house after duck egg exposion, b Aussie"....

LOL what I wouldn't give to see the censi give us that much info ROFL eg;

Francis Mitchell Waterfield , son , 10 , mother called called Mary Ann Waterfield..father down the rosd called Francis Mitchell ... ...he is unmarried and a shoemaker as is  Mary Ann. She is a shoe binder,employed by Francis Mitchell, they love each other but are not willing to marry.She states that all 3 of her illegitimate children are fathered by the aforesaid, Francis Mitchell. He is unable to marry her as he is enjoying the single life without having to be responsible for all three sons ... she however still needs to work and support the 3 boys . Her father is rather annoyed by the whole situation but has decided not to involve himself in this unfortunate matter as it may bring about ostracization (is this a word?) from the community .

LOL Deb  ;D
