Linda I do apologise for this but looking at the details so far given - all the information appears to have derived from member submitted records on the IGI, not the actual Parish registers .. ..

Robert Metcalfe is the one we come from who married Esther Furnival/Furneval who came to Australia  in 1926

Christopher Metcalfe Came to Australia with Ann & Husband
Robert Metcalfe jun b 28 May 1913 Durham England Who is still alive his 94 came to Australia with his parents

I have to admit I'm still confused by the way this conclusion was reached by member submitted entries. I don't want to put you off but these types of entries aren't always to be trusted! 

According to the IGI:

All children born to Christopher and Ann Metcalf/Metcalfe and Christened at Saint Michael, Ashton under Lyne.

Betty:
Birth - 10th June 1800
Christened - 25th March 1804

James:
Birth - 5th July 1803,
Christened - 25th March 1804

Isabella:
Birth - 25th April 1805 
Christened - 30th June 1805

Richard:
Birth - 5th February 1799
Christened - 19th May 1799

Mary:
Birth - 10th June 1807
Christened - 16th August 1807

I do volunteer at the Berrima District History Society and know that some of the information is not always correct.

The info I provided wasn't from the IGI, but from source records. Admittedly I haven't seen them myself, but I still beleive it to be reliable. I wasn't aware this information was available on the IGI.

13/5/1827 Elizabeth Metcalfe dau of Richard, miner & Ann of Bolton
20/9/1829 Christopher Metcalfe son of Richard, miner & Ann of Bolton
3/4/1831 John Metcalfe son of Richard, miner & ann of Bolton



There are also some baptisms of children born to Christopher & Ann Metcalfe in the same Register, do you think the whole family moved here? I've listed them below, just incase
