Brilliant Cas so now we need a marriage of a Stephen Cornwall and Elizabeth.Still cant find Matilda in 1851 or Stephen the brother or Elizabeth The Mother.

and here's the marriage of Stephen CORNWAL to Julia BOWERS in 1868 at the parish church of St George, Gravesend.  He was a stoker aged 22 with, again, father Stephen CORNWAL lab.

One of the witnesses was Matilda KING so I think we can assume that this is probably Matilda's brother.

Thats great so that confirms we have right family.But cant find a marriage of Stephen Cornwall to Elizabeth and still cant find them in 1851.Isnt it strange not to have had Elizabeths maiden name on marriage cert?Even if Father not mentioned .Only Stephen Cornwall i can find in 1841 so far is one i found earlier in 1861 so its not him.Will look again now.

Don't know if i'm putting thoughts in your head ,that you're not thinking here WL,but this Matilda is not Matilda Cornwall,as she was already married before 1871,to Edward Abraham King.We've no idea who that Matilda Hammond is
