Hi,

Yes, there was quite a large coal mining community in Hindley.  It was quite big on coal mining, but then so was half of Lancashire.  However, like the rest of the rootschatters I still can`t find  him on the 1841 or 1851 census.

Hi Mo,
       
         thanks once again for your in put.We have had the same problems when researching our Eadon branch of the family but found they were Heaton in 41census Eaton in the 51 census and Eadon in the following census records prior to that in 1829 marriage cert was Eadon . And suspect the Eden is in there as well.
