Baptism in Sproughton - BEESTON *Completed*
« on: Saturday 28 July 07 13:09 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am trying to trace my great x 3 grandmother, her name was Elizabeth Beeston (later married to Robert Wilson) and she was born in Sproughton c. 1820.

I know from Elizabeth's marriage certificate that her father was Thomas Beeston and he was a labourer living in Sproughton in 1844. I have looked at the 1841 census and have found a Thomas but not an Elizabeth in Sproughton so I can't link him to Elizabeth for sure. I can't find Elizabeth on the IGI either.

I would like to find out who Elizabeth's mother was and if Elizabeth had any brothers or sisters.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Brockers

I'm glad Suffolk-Sue was able to find the marriage.

Taken from Sproughton parish register:
(These were really feint and difficult to read so some details are missing, sorry)

Elizabeth d/o Thomas and Marianne Beeston
Thomas = a husbandman
Baptised September 1819 (could not read the day sorry)

Also some siblings:

Charlotte 20 October 1816
Harriet 3 May 1818
Sarah 7 March 1821
Rachel 1822
John 18 Feb 1823
Eliza 6 Dec 1825

Regards
Anne
