Have you not got your Michael Quinn (b 1810) on a census return with his wife and children Warrington?

See if you can find them on the 1861 census, that would give you Michael wife name.

I have found a Birth on St Catha index for Margaret Brown on March Qr 1851 Warrington. I do not know if this is your Margaret. But you could have this checked out for Father first Name. This too would give her Mother first name and maiden name.

Hello Peter,
Don't know if this is relevent or not,on the 1901 census for Warrington it says that a Catherine Quinn was at No 7 Gas St at the home of my grandmother Ellen Lawless (nee Gannon) it says she is a cousin aged 40 and living on own means and she was born in warrington, don't know if she was living there or just visiting,I'd love to know more about her as I've so little to go on

HI Peter,
Yes Catherine was single in 1901 aged 40 and living on own means. what do you think that meant! Was she prosperous or a lady of the night?
I may send for her birth cert to see if it will give me any more info as to her relationship to my grandmother.
