Look up please-Two child deaths Gosford 1885

Hi there, wondered if anyone could shed any light on the deaths of 2 brothers, John and Robert Lavery, 1885, in Gosford NSW.  John was born Wagga Wagga, 1877. I've tried ordering the death certs from the NSW Registrar but the system is unwilling to let me pay for them.

Parents were John Lavery and Margaret Morrow, both born Kilbarchan, Scotland.

 I don't know if John and Margaret were married - John left a wife in Glasgow to run away, I reckon, with Margaret.

Also any info on Margaret's death in 1918, Petersham, would be much appreciated. She is named Margaret Lavery on the NSW records. Her parents were John Morrow and Maryann.

Did the wife in Glasgow perchance die c. 1882 or did they just wait some time to marry?

Can I ask, Trish, where you found the marriage certificate? I haven't been able to locate it.
I'd love to find out what happened to the boys in 1885. Is it possible to ask someone to look up the certificates for me when they visit the NSW Registrar?

Well, having had 3 children with Margaret before Alice, and leaving several kids behind in Glasgow, it's nice to think that John did one "honourable" thing in his life!

what was the first wifes name.  Did he come to australia with any of his children?

Perhaps she was the assertive type!
Hard to imagine in those times. Not so many choices for women like now.
