Alice Lilian Dearden nee Baker - Help
« on: Monday 23 July 07 10:45 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to locate any relatives of Alice Lilian (Lily) Dearden nee Baker who lived in the west end of Newcastle upon Tyne. Her relatives lived  in Canada - (Winnipeg area I think) and used to write to her in the 1960's. She was the daughter of Albert Edward Baker and Elizabeth Garside. So I may be looking for either a Garside or a Baker. Sorry to be so vague but I was only a child at the time. Any infomation would be gratefully received.

regards
Jim Dearden

On the Canada 411 site, there are only "90" "Dearden's" across Canada and only 3 in total living in Manitoba. (2 living in Winnipeg)

Also, there are only "3" "Garside's" in Manitoba, all living in Winnipeg.

The name Baker would be almost impossible to search out.

You could always try writing to these people to see if they are related.

Hope this helps.

There was a broadcaster in Winnipeg mid-century..Les Garside...and there is a street named Garside, so the name may have been here for a while...
I'd offer to phone but have had some bad luck with making contact with a few people, so I don't do that for others anymore, sorry... :-\ Good luck with writing a note to one of them, though.... :D J.J.
