I am trying to trace the death of my grandfather, Arthur Percy Collins. He was born in Peckham in 1879. His parents were John James Milligan Collins and Elizabeth (maiden name Moncur). Arthur had at least seven brothers and sisters and they lived in Copleston Road, Camberwell.
Arthur married Ethel (maiden name Harvey) in 1905. She was from Enfield. They had three children - Arthur John, Kathleen and Norah. By the time Norah was born in 1914 they had moved to Enfield, where Ethel died in 1916. According to family history, Arthur committed suicide some two years after this. The three children went into an orphanage. I know nothing more about his death and I cannot find a death certificate for him in the Enfield or Camberwell areas. He must have been living somewhere else (perhaps he was fighting in the War?).
Any suggestions where I can go from here, or does anyone have any knowledge of the Collins family?
