I have John Terry married to Ann living in Harmby, first mention is the baptism of their twins in 1623. Does anyone know where he came from?? Cannot find a birth or a marriage there or in surrounding area. Thanks

I don't know if you are familiar with this site
http://www.geocities.com/beaulands/census/framepage1.html
It lists censuses for Harmby ( among many other Wensleydale etc villages) for several years. e.g 1861 shows more than one Terry family
