Cox/Cock & Ivomy in Hampshire
« on: Sunday 22 July 07 12:42 BST (UK) »
I have John Cox/Cock (1715, Hampshire - ?) marrying Jane Ivomy (1715, Hampshire - 20-Jul-1779) marrying in Ellingham, Hants on 31-Jan-1739. Their son John Cox (1740 - 1804) married Mary Jacob (1741 - 1822) on 29-May-1765, location unknown). Can anyone help take any of these lines back further please?

The dates you quote are quite precise - where did the information come from?  To go back further it would help to know where they were baptised and died.  I can't find anything in Hampshire that matches those death dates with those names  :(

There is a will of a John Cox(e), yeoman of Ellingham, at Hampshire Record Office, dating from 1592.

My grandfather worked on the family tree in the 1980s but I don't know what his sources were, I'm afraid. Thanks for looking.
