I think you will have to purchase her marriage certificate to find out her father's name before you can progress further back with this one.

It's the first time I've used Rootschat so not 100% sure how it works.
My great grandfather was Thomas Ingram Irving son of Matthew & Sarah Irving.
His youngest sister was a Mary Jane Irving born 1890.
I notice this is an old post from 2007 - let me know if I can still be of help.

My grandmother is cousin to a patricia irving whose father was thomas forrest Irving (1914 - 1996) and married Mary Syrie (1916 - 2000) both born in south shields if you have them in your family tree?
