This page gives information about the main burial grounds in Glasgow:
http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/Residents/BirthDeathMarriage_Citizenship/Death/Burialgrounds/
There were large privately or trust owned burial grounds in Glasgow.
These were open to Roman Catholics and other denominations.
Glasgow Council now administer most of these burial grounds.
Contact them to look up the burial registers.
The Southern Necropolis is the first one I would try for someone who lived in Hutchesontown.

Hi Stuart
Have a look at these old posts:
www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,82762.0.html
www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,210599.0.html
Apart from general info on cemeteries, they also have info regarding one of the main Catholic cemeteries (actually two - Old Dalbeth and St Peters (also known as Dalbeth).
Regards.
Monica
