1901 Census- Sir Alfred G Ness

Hi all

Could someone please look up an Alfred G Ness on the 1901 census. He was born in 1895 in Scarborough and his name was registered Sir Alfred G Ness!!!

I have no idea why he would be given the name of Sir, unless his parents were perhaps having a little fun at the time of registration!

Any help most appreciated!

And CaroleW: Yes i do believe that that is his son, same name and born the same year that he married his wife, Nellie Fletcher!!

Nellie and Alfred were my gt grandparents on my paternal side of which i know very little as i didnt know my father. This census find, and possible gt uncle, has made me smile! Thanks ever so much to you both!
