Hi, im many years our for this but wanted to say that, Lewis A Hope was my great great grandfather, my Gran was Cecil Blackers sister (Olive'd daughter and son) and Terence and Philip Blacker are my second cousins. Maybe you've sorted out your mystery now, but if i can help do let me know! Also, any chance of a copy of a the photo somehow? :-)
Wissett, could you provide some more information on your side of the Blacker family, please? According to my records, you and I share a great-great-great-grandfather in George Palmer, whose daughter, Lucy Elizabeth Palmer, married Col. Lewis Anstruther Hope. I have the details of Cecil Blacker's family, but not of your grandmother's side - the only detail I have is of a Jane or Joan Blacker.
Also, if you can confirm, I am assuming that Helen Jean Hope and Hugh Lewis Hope (Olive Georgina Hope's elder sister and younger brother respectively) had no children - Helen never married as far as I am aware, and Hugh died aged 24 four months after getting married.
If you could help that would be really appreciated as I am trying to put together a comprehensive list of all the descendants of George Palmer.
