hello.. I wonder if anyone can place my William Phillips born Maer Staffordshire abt 1829 in the census  year of 1841

I know he was not at home with his parents.  I belive he married a Martha Salt and I think I place him in the years 1861 1871 1851 1881 and defo in 1891 in a workhouse but no 1841

Hi Nicky,

There is one living in Podmore as an Ag Lab. aged 12.  which is only a couple of miles away from Maer.  Transcribed as Phillip but looks like not born in county.  civil parish of Eccleshall.

The reference is: HO107/988/16 folio (no number) page 5.

Regards,
Mo
