Gloucestershire Surname Interests

 ::)Hi everyone, have only just joined this list after seeing all the comments about the  competition!
I am currently researching the name BURRUP from Castle Moreton and Dymoke area. I have details of a John Burrup in the workhouse in Worcestershire and a John Burrup who was a sheriff of Gloucester I believe but do not yet know how they tie in but I am keeping the facts on record just in case I strike lucky.
I know that a group of Burrup relatives did go to the US with the Mormons.

In the 1881 census (RG11/2529 F22 P2);

William Dancey, 60, Head, Small Farmer, Gloster
Elizabeth Dancey, 47, Wife, Churchdown
Elizabeth Dancey, 13, Daughter, Hucclecote
Maude Emma Phelpstead, 3, Grandchild, Brockworth.

All residing at "Near the Zoons, Churchdown, Gloucester".

My Gloucestershire interest is:

Nathaniel POOLE born July, 1808, likely Uley, wife is Ann_____
Children: Elizabeth, born 1846,  Clara about 1850, Lucy 1851? and Tamsen 1852....emigrated to Canada circa 1851-2 with a Goerge Biddle's party.
No information on who Ann was, nor Nathaniel's parents.

I'm looking for a George Caleb Smith born in the 1870's ? Gloucestershire.
(He married Beatrice Jane Pettifer, born approx 1878)

I have found a George C. Smith age 1yr,  BAGWORTH, Gloucester.  on the 1881 census
His parents are Thomas 28yr born Guiting, Gloss, and Sarrah 29yr born Northleach, Gloss.

Could anyone find the baptism of George C. to see if the C is for Caleb. I would be most greatfull.

I too have a Holder family from Gloucester, George Edward Holder b. 1852, father - John William Holder, mother - Tabitha Deckins/Deckons. George migrated to Australia in 1870.
