SCOTT Stroud area 1900-1950

William Scott - Collier. Died before 1920.
Sons of William:
George Henry Scott - born c. 1895 served in France in WWI then moved to Maidenhead, Berkshire. Died 1935 in an accident at work.  :(
William E(dward?) Scott - married to Dorothy before 1935. Possibly 1908 (Dursley RD) - 1989 (Gloucester RD)

I have not been able to find the family on the 1901 census or a birth certificate for George Henry Scott.  ??? They might have moved to Gloucestershire from another part of the UK. There might well have been further children of William. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have also posted separately in this forum. Thanks.  :)

I'm looking for information on the SWAIN family of PAINSWICK before about 1800.  Samuel SWAIN was transported to Australia in 1833, and his wife Patience WRIGHT and family followed him in 1838.

Samuel was baptised in Painswick in 1806; his parents were Charles SWAIN and Leah KING. I have unconfirmed information that Charles was baptised in Painswick in 1771, and his parents were James SWAIN and Elizabeth IRELAND.

I'd really appreciate any confirmation of the information on Charles and James, and any information available on earlier generations.
