There seems some uncertainty re the first name of Daniels wife and it is possible I suppose there 2 family groups here

the Lafferty's in my family ended up in Scotland, but i know they did move around the area, so there might be a few in Greenock.

                    I am curious to find out about a Michael Lafferty who died in Greenock 1966. I was contacted just before Christmas by a person in Australia about this and she said she would get back to me after the holiday.
 As you will know Australia is having it's problems at the moment and as the person lives in Queensland I think any more contact will be some time in comming. Meantime i though I would try and find out if any of your Lafferty's were in Greenoch in case this would be more relevant to you.

I think this Michael was my fathers cousin but have no proof of that but that not to say that the person contacting me is related to him. If the person contacts me again and I feel it may be of use to you I will be back in touch.

After researching a bit more im almost positive that the Michael in my family stayed in Paisley upto his death, which going by Scotlands People looks to be in 1980 (age fits to his marriage certificate), hope you find out more information soon.
