Daniel YOULDS/ YOULD was born c1830, possibly in Thingwall, Cheshire to William and Elizabeth. He was convicted of striking a sergeant while with the 62nd Foot at Athlone, County Westmeath and sentenced to 10 years transportation. He arrived in Western Australia via the 'Phoebe Dunbar' in August 1853. He was still alive as late as October 1889 and living in the Mount Eliza Old Men's Depot. We are currently researching details of the 295 fine felons aboard the 'Phoebe Dunbar' and would love to reunite this man with his family.
