Some of you may have noticed Tony has not been online since late July.

Out of concern for a fellow rootschatter I contacted Gorton monastery - and was informed he had taken time off because of the family problem and was now on holiday and should be back around the 10th September.

I was also sent this invite for all rootschatters - I will put this invite in the common room as well

If any of your chat room contacts want to visit the Monastery next week we are opening  to the public for 4 days from Thursday 6th until Sunday 9th as part of the Heritage Open Days. We are also going to trial our new Friars Pantry Cafe  which will also be open serving delicious food from 10am until 4pm each day.
It would be lovely to welcome anyone who is in the area even though Tony won't be available to do one of his fantastic tours.
