Hallo. I am Peter Gerrard and have a reasonable amount of information on my family, who lived in St Monans from late 1600s.

Hello, Peter.  I am connected to the Gerrards of St. Monance through my great grandmother, Margaret Gerrard, b. 1861.  She married James Thomson Murray.  Her father, I believe, was Andrew Gerrard.  James' parents were Thomas Murray and Jane Thomson.  The Murrays were in the fish curing business.  I would be anxious to know if we have a connection, and if I could ask you for some local history as well as family history.
Thanks!

Sid, if you are still around, I am descended from Jean Gerrard, sister of your GGGrandfather Peter. I also have her parents as John Gerrard from St. Monance and Jean Tulloch, possibly from Aberdour. Jean married William Beveridge. I would love to hear if you found anything more on this family, and what relevant documentation you have found.

By the way, here is some dirt on Peter:

Thanks, Sid!

For the James Tulloch (b 1667) - Christian Anderson (b 1674) marriage I have another 5 probable siblings for the James and Margaret you have. The mother's name is not listed on these, but the father, location, and timing are a perfect match to the family. I realize you may not have included them for lack of proof, but I list them here in case you somehow missed them:

Janet’s baptism: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XBXQ-F7S
Elizabeth’s baptism: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XBXQ-3XW
Charles’ baptism: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XBXW-15G
Isobel’s baptism: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XBX3-19P
Christian’s baptism: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XBXQ-9F8

Thanks for pointing me to the info! There were a few dates and spouses I did not have.

Thanks!
Jim

Their children were Alexander, William, Charles, Joseph, Ann, and Henry.
