Pinetree covered this 5 messages back!

You can find the IGI on
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true

For baptisms and marriages pre 1875, and particularly before 1837,  it's the best place to start. It's far from complete - and Huntingdonshire is particularly poorly covered as the LDS Church was refused permission to film many parish registers -, but it has a lot of information.  A word of warning - there are two types of entry on it - member submissions which are very unreliable and vary in quality from well researched to pure fiction, and extracted which are taken from parish registers and are reliable.  You can tell which is which by looking at the Messages box on the Individual Record page

Sorry about all the acronyns - I thought you were more experienced otherwise I'd have given you more website addresses as well. Typing IGI is much quicker than International Genealogical Index , especially when you're a slow typer like me!

Regards

David

David,
Again, thank you so much for you time.  And for taking the time to explain things in better detail for me.  I'm aware of some of the websites you sent me to but not by acronyms. Just the long ole fashion way.  Thank you again... all this info will keep me busy for awhile. I look forward to ordering the birth certificates.
Sincerely,
Lindajae
