Kaye and Sykes families of Lepton

I'm trying to find information about the family of David Kaye b. 1793 Lepton and Martha Sykes b. 1793 Lepton. David and Martha married in 1814 and later moved to Whitley. I think that David's father was Peter and Martha's father was Joseph.

Hi there there are alot of Kaye's in Flockton which is not a million miles from Lepton just a thought.

My Sykes line starts in Lepton in about 1817 with Joseph and follows through his son Hezekiah, who married Sarah and their daughter Mary (who had a sister Martha) married my G Granddad Arthur Dobson.  If your line matches any of this I would love to hear from you.

I don't think your Joseph is one of my Sykes's. However, I've had a look in my index of baptisms for Kirkheaton and have found 2 Josephs:
Joseph baptised 17.09.1815 Father Solomon; Mother SaraH; Abode (!) Lepton; Occupation Clothier
Joseph Baptised 15.04.1816; Father Josiah; Mother Sarah; Abode Lepton; Occupation Clothier

In the marriage index for Kirkheaton:
22.10.1810 Sykes Solomon and Jessop Sarah Both of this parish
03.06.1811 Sykes Josias (?) Walshaw Sarah both of this parish.

For some unknown reason (but probably age) I didn't get the 1800-1812 baptism index, but have got them going back to 1706 and up to 1822, and the marriage indexes for 1754-1799; 1800-1825 and 1826-1837 if you want anything looking up.

SYKES Henry and Mary Ellen of 12 Holywell Grove, Glass Hougton, Castleford, Yorks.

Son James, died 1915 aged 22.

Also we have Dobson as a christian name linked to TOMLINSONS?
