Looking for information on James Houlihan (Holahan) & his wife Margaret Spencer born around 1800 in Clonmel.  They had four children, James born 1831, Hugh born 1833, an unknown sister & brother.

The two James, Margaret, Hugh and the sister all came to America around December 1854 or January 1855 going through Castle Garden.  The unknown brother stayed behind in Ireland.

Looking for information as to birth and Marriage of James Sr & Margaret Spencer.  James is believed to have been a carpenter.

Hi.

It maybe a long shot, but tracing Irish family links you have to explore all possibilities!!

I wonder, Your James Houlihan married a Margaret Spencer of Clonmel. Do you have anymore information regarding Margarets parents?

My gt, gt grandparents Henry and Anne (Brophy) Spencer left Ireland for England in 1854 and the name Margaret features in their children and the generations following. I don't know of their exact Irish origins, hence I'm exploring any possible links.

Cheers. Spencer

Spencer:

Thank you for your reply.  I do not have any additional information on Margaret Spencer or her parents.  If I find any additional information out about her, I will let you know.
