trying to delete post I made earlier cannot find how to do it - deleted the words and picture I uploaded but now left with this message!
my post was moved to another thread which made it totally irrelevant and inappropriate - I wish I never registered or posted now - highly embarrased - apologies for posting at all!
Can a mod please kindly delete this post? Sorry for my mistake - delete my membership too - was going to do some research but leaving now. cannot find how to delete my post or my profile
Happy New Year all - bye bye

I have just joined because I was doing some research on Larch Road Balham as part of my family history and came across this website. Very interesting to see comments and, especially photo of children in 1922. My grandparents were in Larch Road from circa 1890 and my father and his sister were there from 1920 to just after WW2.
I would be very interested to hear from anyone who had family living there during this time. I see that most of these messages are quite old now and not all the members are active but if Tunners does return, his father was there at the same time as mine and they would almost certainly have known each other.

Hi stevemoss
Welcome to Rootschat
Tunners hasn't been online here for few years now, but as long as their email address hasn't changed, they should receive notifications that we have posted and hopefully come back soon.
I have also sent a personal mesage.

Hi Steve
Re: 1922 photo, have been talking to the family, and it looks like my dad and his sister are in the picture, they were Ernest and Ethel Tunbridge, the family seem to think that dad was born there 1919 and lived there until 1926 roughly.
