Hi Zander

Not finding a bith on Scotland's People for Matilda post 1900 but they stop on line at 1906 so if after that would entail a visit to GROS where you can see them on line. there are 4 Matilda Raineys but the latest is 1897 and none are in Renfrewshire.

Am posting in case any turn out to be the one you want.

1860 RAINEY MATILDA F OLD OR WEST KILPATRICK /DUNBARTON 501/00 0165 VIEW

2 1877 RAINEY MATILDA F BRIDGETON GLASGOW CITY/LANARK 644/01 0954

3 1887 RAINEY MATILDA F DUMBARTON /DUNBARTON 496/00 0590

4 1897 RAINEY MATILDA F RUTHERGLEN GLASGOW CITY/LANARK 654/00 0651

Same will apply to the other children fraid. A search for Thomas's kids all come up with pre 1900 results across Scotland as a whole.

Not finding a marriage in Scotland for Maggie and a Thomas Mason

Not finding a marriage for Thomas Jnr to a louise - again if after 1931 won't be on line. If you have Louise's surname I can look again

I have found Emily's marriage to William Burns. 1919 BURNS WILLIAM BRENNAN EMILY PORT GLASGOW /RENFREW 574/00 0082

This can be veiwed at Scotland;s People and will give date and place but also parents names. Their children are not visible because of the 1906 cut-off

Hope this helps

Ann

hi ann
many thank's for your reply,my mistake as matilda was born in n.ireland ,
not to sure who tommy mason married,
but i am sure his mum maggie and dad tommy were married in scotland.
the marriage of brennan and burn's look's to be right so i will give it a view.
again many thank's for your time.

came across your post, just wondering if the James Rainey you have could be the one I have been searching for, my James Rainey/Rennie was born in Ballycastle County Antrim in 1876, he was from a Presbyterian family of farmers, he is not on the Ireland Census of 1901 or 1911
