Trying to find the marriage or deaths of Andrew Ingram and Elizabeth Burns.  They had a son Robert who died 6 April 1891 in Main Street, Wishaw.

Hi Teen047 and welcome to roots chat. Do you know how old robert was at death - thus giving an indication of his birth year. This may help to date the marriage.

Indexes to civil Scottish marriages 1855-1875 are on the IGI
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true

If they married before this date, you could also check the IGI. If they were married after this date, it should be on the pay-to-view site for Scotland BDM and census & various other records - http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/   If you haven't used it, well worth a browse. You can search free of charge but need to pay to view results of searches (except wills, they are free to search)
The early records for all Church of Scotland births and marriages are on SP as well.

Hi Trish,

Not at all  ;D  You'd answered on this thread hours and hours before I saw either thread (and long before there'd been a response on the other thread)!  But when I realized that there were two threads which seemed to be about the same family, I thought it would be a good idea to cross-reference them so that people weren't duplicating lookups  :D
