Hi
I think we may have common ancestors.  I have an Edward and Sarah Bush in my line.   Sarah had a daughter named Elizabeth Bailey Chapman.  Any connection?

Any dates?  Or do you know the parents of Edward?

I believe that Edward and Sarah Bush are the parents of my gg-grandmother, Elizabeth Chapman (b.1853 or 1854).  Elizabeth shows up on the 1861 census with Edward (b.1826) and Sarah (b.1830) and is listed a daughter.  I discovered through the Free BMD that Sarah's maiden name was Chapman so I am assuming that she had Elizabeth out of wedlock.  I haven't been able to find the marriage of Edward and Sarah but I think I found Sarah in 1841 with her parents (James and Margaret (nee Poll) Chapman) in 1841 in Henstead, Humbleyard, East Carlton, Norfolk.  I found one birth for Elizabeth that might work and it was in Dec Qtr. 1853 in Henstead...the name is Elizabeth Bailey Chapman.  My mother remembers an aunt saying that the name Daley tied into the family and I think Bailey is a strong coincedence.  We've ordered the birth certificate for Elizabeth Bailey Chapman and hope that it will be able to tell us something!  So....any connections? :)

I don't have an Edward born that time or place who wed Sarah.  If you find out who his father is, then there may be a connection, this should be on his marriage cert.  Is he the one in 1881 living Hethel, Norfolk born 1827 Hethel, Sarah 50 born East Carlton, daus Hannah 12 Helthel and Harriet 7 Wymondham?
