If you go to http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/archives/immigration_and_shipping_indexes_4645.asp you can search some indexes there. 
Tasmania has a Family Links Database here: http://www.archives.tas.gov.au/genealres/default.htm

You can also find some useful links at http://www.genseek.net/index.htm
