No. I have merely followed up that which was taught to me by my Grandmother Rose Alice Southgate born Epping 1886. Her mother was the former Annie Hartgrove. Her, Annie's father, was Daniel Hartgrove. His son was Thomas William Hartgrove (Uncle Tom) of Stanford Rivers and he worked as a horseman on a local farm. Dan Hartgrove is alive in the 1911 census. Emily I think might also have been Dan's daughter and certainly lived in Dan's cottage as did Tom until he died in or after WW1. Emily was living in the cottage in the 1930s for sure and I think died in 1948/9 and I feel is buried as Emily Fish in Stamford River church on te left as you go in the main gate. I have put what I know and some pics on this Hartgrove-Harknett website but there is more I have put elsewhere on Hartgroveon this website but I canot find it!....I have also linked the Hartgrove line with the Fryer line of Hempnall Norfolk but as regards Hartgrove unless you can find what I have put down elsewhere on them in RootsChat then that is it. I am struggling to repatriate a photo of Annie Hartgrove from USA! The Hartgrove cottage is diagonally to the right from the Green Man pub in Toot Hill Stamford Rivers. On the far corner of the green there is a thuck hedge and some Essex timber cottages. Dan Hartgrove's is the one on the end (left) and has a small "L" shaped garden. I will try and add a photo if the system lets me! (known as Uncle Tom's Cabin!)
