I think what Joe posted looks like a strong contender. You may find the records not on Scot;and;s People if they werenlt church of Scotland - have same issue myself grrr.
However all not lost. If you can narrow doiwn parush the Natuional Archives Scotland do have records of non-conformist i.e. anything except c of S. Is worth giving them a call.

The problem really is folks were supposed to have their own ceremony in their own church and then pay Cof S to 'register'/ Most didn;t either cos they couldn't afford to or they objected to paying another church so they didn't. However their own church did have a record and that's what NAS holds. What they have and how far back does vary but you can ring or email
