POYSER marriage Alfreton 1821
« on: Saturday 16 June 07 16:23 BST (UK) »
Is it possible to find out the full name of who Joseph POYSER married in Alfreton, Derbyshire, in 1821? I only have Rebecca who was apparently born in Brentford, Middlesex.

Hiya
The marriage date is 16 dec 1821 Alfreton Derby maybe you could look up the banns at nearby churches that should give Rebecca's surname. The 1841 census is worth a look, wouldnt it be nice if Rebecca's parents had come to stay.

By the 1841 Census she is already married to someone else! In 1830 she married a Thomas PARNELL, 15 years her senior.

But thank you for the exact date of her first marriage.

Hello goldfishnot

Why don't you try this:- http://www.wirksworth.org.uk/.

My POYSER line is very new to me so am not in a position to help at the moment.

Good luck
