Most function rooms require a big number but I said it would be around 40... all we can do is hope that a good number turn up... How many are definates?

Ouch... they will not be happy lol... oh well never mind..

I hope that more will turn up when they really see that its going ahead... with only that number its not really worth while having a room... what do others think?

I had to pay for room, ( not that I mind... )  But if only that number confirmed coming its really not practical...  What do you think Christopher

Best wishes

Mo and Christopher,

Looking forward to being there.

If everybody is as friendly in "real life" as they are on Rootschat, then it should be a lovely evening.

Ah no, Mo!

I didn't realise you had to pay for the room.

I don't know if RootsChat would have allowed us to ask for a small non returnable deposit. Large numbers showing an interest can make life difficult. It's just as well I did not go ahead with plans for a couple of speakers.

We may not be beaten yet. There are about twelve on another site ... I've posted details to them.

Christopher.

I never give up hope lol...

If those from here on Rootschat could let us know for certain like Ronnie did that they were coming it would be helpful

Best wishes

Well guys now tha its friday again me and Taid are in, but as you said unless you know there's at least a minumum of 30 it would not be worthwhile paying for a room, if there is a good number I'm sure none of us would mind paying 5 or 10 euro each or whatever , I dont know what the room cost so dont know if that would cover the cost, Damsel

Here's the link to the thread about the Dublin meet which shows people who have yet to acknowledge the email I sent reminding them about the event.
